Through the ages, a lot of invention have been made to take the baits out at sea and in this way, to obtain the best examples of fish. We have seen catapults, spring , balloons, little boats, surfboards, pedal-boats,... as we can see the wit has been sharpened in several occasions and places.
Nowadays, one of the best, cleanest and safest invention is within our reach, whatever the sea state or seasons of the year are.
We are talking about the " Thrower Mecasub": a peculiar, simple and practical device which allows the user to carry his baits to the wished destination with no risk and from the seashore.
The Thrower Mecasub works with 12v batteries which can be easily and economically charged either at home or in the car.
The Thrower Mecasub can make 14 throws at a distance of 250 or 300 metres with only one battery charge, however, if you use the energy saving system, you can make 28 throws.
Is has a timing device which we can set between 1 and 20 minutes. In orden to avoid its damage, the lanzador mecasub contains an electronic mechanism that automatically switchs off the engines, in case the propelle is blocked by any foreign body, plastics, seaweed, straings, threads,...........

GUIDING SYSTEM

The guiding is made by means or two fishing-lines: the first one is the one of the baits, which is hooked on the end of the Thrower Mecasub by the appropriate device.

This fishing –line will be in charge of guiding it wherever we want.

The second one which is hooked on the head of the Thrower willallow us to unhook the baits and bring it back to the seashore with a simple fishing rod pull.

REELS

The Thrower recovery reel must be a drum or spinning reel, preferably with line guide, with a capacity for 500 or 600 mts of 0,06 mm line and with a ratio of 3,5:1 or 4:1; that is to say that for every turn of the handle the reel spins 3,5 or 4 times.

The line for the Thrower recovery reel must be knotted to the front end of the Torpedo (see fig.a nš1). 0,60 or 0,70 mm line is recommended.
It is also advisable to use similar reels for the fishing rods, because if fixed spool reel are used for something they are not designed for, they tend to twist the lines, which causes problems.
